Four Double-Walled Diamonds

1. Opening A.

2. Twist little finger loops a full twist away from you.

3. Pass thumbs away from you under all strings, and pick up both little finger strings.

4. Insert thumbs from below into index loops. Release index fingers (so that index loops become a new upper thumb loop), and rotate thumbs a full twist away from you (carefully, so that new upper thumb loops remain above original thumb loops).

5. Insert indexes from above into little finger loops, and pick up far little finger string. Release little fingers.

6. Insert little finger from below into both thumb loops, and then from below into index loops. Hook little fingers over near index string, pull it down through thumb loops, and clasp to palm.

7. Insert middle fingers into index loops, and then pass indexes and middle fingers toward you over near thumb strings. Pinch lower near thumb string between them, pull it up over upper near thumb string, and then take it onto indexes by turning indexes and middle fingers away from you and up (letting the original index loops slip off). Release thumbs.

A little bit of manual adjustment may be needed to space out the diamonds evenly.

If step 2 is omitted, a couple of extra twists are left around the bottom string:
